Today, ive experienced the power complemtarity that life can offer. I’ve alredy whitnessed this before but today was especially full of examples.

In life everything has ist complement or opposite. Like the yin and the yang, the positif and negatif… and everytime a balance is naturally found.

This morning I needed to fill up my bottles as they were almost empty.  I’ve been asking to the only and last petrol station for the next 56km if I could get water from their tap outside. As every other ones she said that the water is not drinkable and told me to not get any. Usually they say the same speech saying that it’s not drinkable, I’m gonna be sick and it’s my responsibility to drink it. Same speech everytime. I take the risk every time and never felt any symptoms yet… but this time she didn’t gave me any choice she even duct tapped the tap so i could not get any water. It was not in my plan anymore anyway… but I’ve been impressed by her stubbornness to not let me get any water.

I decided to keep going without water for 56km with 12km of mountains road. Three consecutives passes to climb under the hard sun… it’s all about the mind.

As I was pedalling a car overtook me and stopped. A lovely couple in their 70’s started to chat with me. And they finally offered me a box of strawberries. I didn’t expect at all this act of kindness. It was actually the first time it happenned. Right after the petrol station event.

Ok I was still without water… but there is plenty of water in fruits and I still had pears and apples.

I started to climb, then going down. Climb again, down again, climb again, down again… I told you! It’s all about complementarity. You can’t have only slopes you must have climbs before or after.

Finally reaching the pacific ocean!

Finally reaching the pacific ocean!

I finally made it all the way to meat works 10km north of Kaikoura and found a great spot by the sea to set up the hammock, have a swim, been bitten by thousands of sandflies and finally chill out. Under the stars. This is the first post created on my phone and the photos has been imported directly from the camera through the camera built in wifi. Trying new ways…good night world.

What a great sunset!

And finally the night came

And finally the night came
