I planned a day off at national park but no wifi and i needed to update the blog and fix two client’s website. Checked the closest library. And start to ride under the pourring rain. Everyone at the hostel can’t believe that I was leaving with this weather. But the rain doesn’t really matter as I have good Montane gear from my sponsor Further Faster and can stay pretty much dry whenever.

What matters is the wind but today there wasn’t any. After 40km mostly slopes. Good feeling after those two days of climbing! I reached the library where i updated my blog. As soon as i saw the sun coming out of the clouds i removed my socks and shoes and let them out with my bicycle to let them dry. Awesome! After 2 hours socks and shoes were totally dry! So happy. It’s a small thing but it’s important to have dry stuffs. I contacted Jessy from CouchSurfing to know if i could stay for the night but when i realised that it was a detour of more than 45km I canceled. She understood and has been really nice as she offered to come pick me up in town but as I don’t use engines, tonight I’ll sleep on a rest area by the road. 20 more km to go. My tent is still totally wet but I’m so tired that i don’t really mind sleeping in a wet tent.

It’s now 7.30pm and I’m gonna sleep so tomorrow I can wake up at 5 and cycle all day. Target 95 to 110km. Looking forward to be in Raglan and chill out for a couple of days. I hope I won’t be bothered tonight as it’s Friday night and I’m still close to big enough city.
