Sundays are made to chill out and get inspired for the next adventure! This morning I watched a few videos on youtube about bike touring. There is two of them that I really liked so I want to share them with you:

Life Lessons From a 7-Thousand-Mile Bike Ride

First one is about life lessons learnt of travelling 7000 miles by bicycle from Oregon to the southern tip of South America by Jedidiah Jenkins.

“When you’re a kid, everything is astonishing. Everything is new, and so your brain is awake and turned on … Once your brain establishes a routine, it stops … the alertness goes away,” By choosing adventure Jenkins is able to reactivate his brain and turn his “hundred years on this planet into a thousand.”

Alastair Humphreys: Adventures great and small.

“with a bicycle and a tent the whole world becomes yours, you are the king of the world for just a few hundred dollars” In this video, Alastair is speaking about his adventures from Cycling the world to crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a rowing boat by walking along the Highway for local adventure. Worth a watch, very inspiring.

Back into Printed books

And as I broke my second E-reader a couple weeks ago, I’m now back into real printed books. A sure value. I’ve been browsing a secondhand book shop this morning and bought two books to entertain me in the next step of my adventure.

First book is The Four Agreements Companion Book by Don Miguel Ruiz. His book The Four Agreements is one of my favourite books ever as it helps you improve your everyday life very quickly. He is keeping everything easy. The companion book is to go further and help apply the four agreement more deeply.

The second book I bought is called The Magic Lamp. I just found it on top of a pile of books and thought it was a good title. This book is about goal setting and it seems that it makes it easy to set your goals and reach them. I’m looking forward to read it!

I will tell you more about those books after my readings!

Can you share in the comment what books or video have inspired you the most so far?
