Beautiful Raglan

Raglan is one of those places where the energy attracts me to stay for a while such as Byron Bay in Australia where I stayed 8 months and Wanaka in the South Island where I stayed almost a year. I’ve heard so much about Raglan and never had a chance to visit this place before. That’s why I decided to make a detour to discover it and have a break for few days. I’ve been amazed by this location. If I was not on this adventure I could have stay there way longer.

Finally made it to Raglan!!

Finally made it to Raglan!!

That guy Ross

Originally my plan was to stay here for 3 days and I ended up staying for one more day. So 4 days in total. While I was here, I stayed at Ross that I met on Couchsurfing. That guy Ross is such an inspiring human being! He is a public speaker aiming to inspire kids and adults to live their lives fully! Indeed, even if he use a wheelchair from the age of 16, he is more active than the majority of us. Biking, bungy jumping, kayaking, playing rugby, he achieved the New York City Marathon and much more! He is this kind of people who are extremely radiant and expand the good vibes around themselves.

The bars

He is as well a practitioner of the access bars. I never heard about this before but it’s really powerful. There are 32 energy bars running through your head. They work like a hard drive where is stored all the ideas and belief we have on pretty much everything in our life since we were born. By working on it, it helps us to let go of some of those beliefs, which we are not aligned with anymore. Ross worked on mine; it was the first time that I experienced an energy healing. I have to admit that it is just awesome!! There is definitely the before and the after. One session can shift so much in your life and your perception of the outer world.

A new start

When I arrived in Raglan I was tired, my body was struggling with the ride, my tendons even after a couple of days off were still sore and today, after the yesterday’s bars session, I’m feeling like I’m flying. Not any pain anymore. Even all my legs muscles can now align kilometres after kilometres easily. I still can’t really believe how powerful it is!

If you want more information about the access bars, there is a good website about it:

I’ve been surfing twice. Without using engine it’s a bit hard to get organised as the beaches are 6km from the town center and I can’t carry a surfboard on my bike. When Maude, a French helper staying with Ross was going to surf, I was joining her by bike and then we shared the surfboard. First day was not crazy but the feeling of being back in the ocean on a board after more than a year without surfing was great!!
The second day I didn’t plan to surf but the condition were just perfect… so I changed my plans and it was seriously good! Clean waves, not too many surfers I had a blast!!

One morning I planned with Sophie, that you can find on Instagram as @Rawioli, to make some accroyoga at sunrise before she started her day of permaculture classes it was fun then I discovered Solscape which is where she is following the classes, it’s like an ecocenter where you can stay and follow classes on different teachers. The food here is organic and vegetarian. Just Good products with such a beautiful view on the shore.

Thank you Raglan and NZ

Raglan you’ve been amazing! One more reason I want to become a kiwi after my trip is that in such a small country you can find everything you want all year long. From mountains to surf beaches, volcanoes to natural hot springs, lakes, waterfalls, islands…
New Zealand is definitely a paradise on earth!

Such a great place Raglan!
